Our Services

PERSONAL CARE
We provide personal care services to individuals whose capabilities vary greatly. Many of our clients have limited strength and flexibility. Others are recovering from surgery, or are afflicted with chronic debilitating diseases.
Regardless of the scope of need, our skilled care partners are specially trained to assist with dressing, bathing, continence care, grooming, and basic skin and dental care.
LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING
Our foremost goal is to care for our clients and ensure their comfort, safety, and happiness. While we are not professional house cleaners, we recognize the need to carry out basic household duties to ensure every client has a clean and safe home.
Housekeeping services we often perform include cleaning countertops and bathrooms, vacuuming and dusting, washing laundry and changing linens, and caring for pets and plants.

COMPANIONSHIP
Older adults are often isolated from their families and communities, and as a result suffer from loneliness, anxiety, and depression. This is why companionship is a critical element of the care we provide to our clients.
We select care partners who have the personality and disposition that matches the needs of your loved one. Our care managers create social plans that highlight activities your family member enjoys. The care partner then uses these activities as a starting point for engaging with your loved one, incorporating them into their daily interactions and care.
MEDICATION REMINDERS
As we age, prescribed and over-the-counter medication becomes an increasingly important part of self-care. It can be challenging to organize medications and stick to a scheduled regimen.
Our care partners can help by inventorying medication, preparing and maintaining a schedule, and reminding loved ones when it’s time to take medication.

MEAL PREPARATION
Proper nutrition can be a source of stress for family members caring for an elderly loved one. Aging adults often struggle to cook healthy meals, and may lose their appetites or even forget to eat.
Our care managers and care partners work with families to identify what types of meals the client prefers. We obtain treasured recipes when possible, and our care partners can then prepare healthy versions of these preferred meals. They also can prepare smaller snacks that can be served through the day, ensuring that clients get the nutrition they need to stay healthy.
TRANSPORTATION
Aging loved ones often continue to have very busy schedules filled with medical appointments, social occasions, and errands. But many of our clients are often no longer capable of driving, and don’t have family members available at all hours of the day to transport them.
Our care partners are required to have their own vehicles with current registrations and insurance policies and are more than happy to transport clients as needed. Alternatively, care partners can drive the client’s vehicle, if that is preferred.

ALZHEIMER'S & DEMENTIA
We estimate that half of our clients suffer from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We know firsthand just how exhausting it is to care for loved ones suffering from these devastating cognitive illnesses.
We provide the trained and experienced assistance you need to keep your loved one safe, allowing them to remain at home in familiar surroundings for longer than they might be able to otherwise. We treat every client with the respect and dignity they deserve.
PLACEMENT SERVICES
Many families who approach us for placement services are often in a time crunch. They may have a loved one about to be discharged from the hospital who needs extensive care, or are struggling to care for a family member whose condition has declined to a point where they can’t keep up with their needs.
ApexCare can help your family evaluate local independent living facilities and assisted living facilities, and choose the one that best fits your budget while ensuring your loved one gets the care they deserve.
