Home Care in Rocklin CA
Support For Home’s, Community Relations Manager, April Carni, was thrilled to bowl during her first time participating at the Adopt An
Elder Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser Event at Strike’s. The event is held annually & continues to grow each year, & was held Saturday, October 22nd at the Strike’s located in Rocklin.
Tickets for the event were $45 each & each team consisted of 4 to 5 people. The event included 2 bowling sessions, all you can eat pizza, drinks, chips & a huge serving of FUN! The teams primarily consisted of people who work in the Older Adult profession but sponsors outside the field as well.
Being that the event is held in late October, it is not surprising that many teams dressed up in Halloween costumes or in bright colors to show their team spirit! The winning team, with a trophy & bragging rights for a year was Alpha One! Team Spirit Award went to Sunrise Assisted Living & best costume went to House to Home movers who dressed up as crew from the song YMCA.
Needless to say, it was a great way to have great fun, network & also raise money for a great cause! They raised more than $7,000, which will help Adopt An Elder’s mission to provide support to local seniors so that they live a more independent and dignified life.
