ApexCare was excited to be one of the many sponsors and attend the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance Fundraiser on Saturday, March 19th at the Davis Odd Fellows Hall. This was 2nd Annual event and ApexCare was happy to sponsor both years.
The event itself was a wonderful experience and was an afternoon filled with delightful performances by Pamela Trokanski Dance Theater company & also live music performance by local folk group Biscuits and Honey. Sheila Allen, RN, PHD, Executive Director was instrumental in organizing this event but it was also made possible and co-hosted by Supervisor Jim Provenza and the Davis Odd Fellows Community Support Committee.
Participants enjoyed an array of farm fresh fruits and veggies from “Farm Fresh to You” as well as some warm appetizers and healthy water spa. There was an excellent array of silent auction items that were themed around “Healthy Living”. One particularly lucky person won a raffle for a shiny new bike from Ken’s Bike and Ski.
The fundraiser was a success and approximately $17,000 was raised to support the work of the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance.
